2026 Bristol Bay Youth Leadership Forum Application Deadline

Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC), in partnership with University of Alaska Fairbanks Bristol Bay Campus, Bristol Bay Career & Technical Education (BBRCTE) and United Tribes of Bristol Bay (UTBB), invites Bristol Bay School District students and BBNC Shareholders and descendants in grades 9-12, to apply to participate in the 2026 Bristol Bay Youth Leadership Forum (BBYLF)!

BBNC shareholders and descendants enrolled in high school that are living outside of Bristol Bay are also eligible to apply.

BBYLF will be held in Anchorage, AK on December 9-11, 2026. Travel dates will be December 8th and 12th.

The Bristol Bay Youth Leadership Forum provides opportunities for students to engage in cultural activities and presentations that focus on community initiatives and participate in dialogues of current issues impacting Native communities. Students will also have the opportunity to gain important leadership and work readiness skills and learn about college and vocational career opportunities that will certainly be helpful in preparing them for a successful future.

To apply for this exciting opportunity please fill out the application by answering the questions below and identify a teacher, counselor, coach or community leader to complete a recommendation form on your behalf. A recommendation form will be emailed to the person listed on your application.

Deadline to apply is Friday, October 9, by 5PM Alaska Time.  APPLY ONLINE HERE!

Application, essay responses and recommendation form must be received by the deadline in order to be considered for this opportunity. Plan ahead to ensure your application is complete by the deadline.

Note that this is a competitive opportunity. Responses to the essay questions on this application will be reviewed and scored by a committee that will determine who is selected to attend.
