Bristol Bay Native Corporation Announces Executive Leadership Transitions
Anchorage, AK—Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC) is pleased to announce several executive leadership transitions at BBNC, aimed at maintaining continuity and minimizing disruption across the organization.
Scott Torrison, BBNC Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, will retire on May 1, 2027, after 18 years of distinguished service to the corporation. Ryan York, BBNC’s former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will succeed Torrison as EVP and COO. The two have begun working closely to ensure a smooth transition and will continue collaborating until Torrison’s departure.
BBNC has appointed Logan Birch as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Birch, who most recently served as President of Alaska Growth Capital (AGC), a BBNC majority-owned company, stepped into the role in early August. He is working with York over the coming months to transition responsibilities. Prior to serving at AGC, Birch held finance positions at Arctic Slope Regional Corporation and spent a decade in commercial banking with Wells Fargo.
“Scott’s leadership and dedication have shaped BBNC’s success for nearly two decades, and we are grateful for the steady hand he has brought to our operations,” said Jason Metrokin, BBNC President and CEO. “We are confident that Ryan will continue to strengthen our operational capacity in his new role, and that Logan’s breadth of financial experience and dedication to our region and shareholders will serve the corporation well. These transitions reflect BBNC’s ongoing emphasis on thoughtful succession planning and organizational resilience.”
