Fry Bread

2 tbsp. yeast
2 c. lukewarm water
1.5 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1 egg
1/2 c. vegetable oil
8 c. of flour to start off, plus additional if needed to thicken dough

To make the dough:

1. In a large bowl, combine lukewarm water and yeast, stir, and let sit for a few minutes until yeast is active.

2. Add sugar, milk, egg, and vegetable oil and mix to combine.

3. Add flour and begin mixing until the liquid turns into dough.

4. Once dough is not sticking to your hand while kneading, you can let it set to rise for two hours or more.

5. After two hours, begin making dough knots in preferred sizes.

To cook:

1. Warm oil in a large pan on medium heat.

2. Once oil is warm, begin placing dough knots in pan.

3. When the sides of dough start to look golden brown, flip over and cook the other side for another minute.

4. Serve with jam or powdered sugar.

NOTE: Do not cook on high heat, it will only cook the outside of the bread the the center will be raw.
