It’s the season of giving and gratitude and we have much to celebrate at the BBNC Education Foundation.
In November, the BBNC Education Foundation board of directors, partners, and donors gathered to express our thanks to Education Foundation Board Member Jerry “Callmak” Liboff, who retired after 26 years of service on the Board. Jerry arrived in Alaska in 1969 and moved to Koliganek as a Vista volunteer. In 1982, he moved to Dillingham, where he lives today. As a founding board member, Jerry contributed to the growth of the Education Foundation and was particularly instrumental in championing the Cultural Heritage program, which launched in 2016.
Jerry continues to be a champion fundraiser for the BBNC Education Foundation, and has sold literally hundreds of raffle tickets to benefit student scholarships. We invite you to join Jerry and other champions to make a gift to the BBNC Education Foundation this year. To learn more, visit the Foundation at www.bbncef.org or visit our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/BBNCeducationFoundation/).
We are also happy to announce that two new professionals have joined the BBNC Education Foundation board: Annie Fritze of Dillingham and Jason Metrokin of Anchorage. Ms. Fritze serves as the transportation and infrastructure program manager at the Bristol Bay Native Association. Mr. Metrokin serves as president and CEO of Bristol Bay Native Corporation. We are pleased to have these two individuals join us in our mission to support and encourage shareholders to pursue educational opportunities and to promote and preserve cultural heritage. In addition, we are excited to announce that Ricardo Lopez has joined our staff as the program officer for cultural heritage.
I’d love to hear from you directly. Please contact me at (907) 265-7875 or email@example.com.
