Growth of SES Group’s Fuels Business Line

The Fuels Division of SpecPro Environmental Services LLC (SES) was created following BBNC’s 2017 acquisition of Fuel Systems Unlimited, Inc., a small fuels services firm in San Antonio, TX. Within the past three years, under the leadership of Thomas C. Russell, Executive Director of Fuels Services, the Fuels Division has been laying the foundation for growth in the federal fuels market and, as a subcontractor, expanded operations from 14 states in 2017 to 44 states in early 2019.

Under the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule, SES saw three successive awards in December 2019, which will form the basis for a strong presence in the federal fuels systems services arena. These awards have resulted in adding 20 new positions to the SES Fuels Division and opening three new SES offices in Iowa, Arizona, and soon in Southern California. There are six additional competitive contract opportunities that the SES Fuels Division will be a front-runner in, some of which will be Small Business set-asides, that will be awarded in late 2020 and early 2021. The SES goal is to be a Prime Contractor in the Recurring Maintenance and Minor Repair program for the next 20 years through the GSA contract vehicle.
