DESCRIPTION:Bristol Bay Native Corporation (BBNC)\, in partnership with University of Alaska Fairbanks Bristol Bay Campus\, Bristol Bay Career & Technical Education (BBRCTE) and United Tribes of Bristol Bay (UTBB)\, invites Bristol Bay School District students and BBNC Shareholders and descendants in grades 9-12\, to apply to participate in the 2026 Bristol Bay Youth Leadership Forum (BBYLF)! \nBBNC shareholders and descendants enrolled in high school that are living outside of Bristol Bay are also eligible to apply. \nBBYLF will be held in Anchorage\, AK on December 9-11\, 2026. Travel dates will be December 8th and 12th. \nThe Bristol Bay Youth Leadership Forum provides opportunities for students to engage in cultural activities and presentations that focus on community initiatives and participate in dialogues of current issues impacting Native communities. Students will also have the opportunity to gain important leadership and work readiness skills and learn about college and vocational career opportunities that will certainly be helpful in preparing them for a successful future. \nTo apply for this exciting opportunity please fill out the application by answering the questions below and identify a teacher\, counselor\, coach or community leader to complete a recommendation form on your behalf. DESCRIPTION:BBNC is partnering with Northern Industrial Training and Southwest Alaska Vocational Education Center (SAVEC) to offer an Advanced Microsoft Office training. The training will prepare individuals with the technical skills needed for entry-level administrative positions. \nTraining will be hosted\, in person\, November 16-20 in King Salmon\, AK – Airfare\, Lodging and food will be provided). The training will consist of 5 days of instruction in the following Microsoft software programs: \nMicrosoft Excel: You will understand the basics of a working spreadsheet\, why Excel functions like it does\, and how to create the best formulas and worksheets. “Tips\, Tricks\, and Keyboard Shortcuts” are covered and explained. \nMicrosoft Word: You will learn what features and tools Microsoft’s word processing application has to offer. You will create\, edit\, and format a word documents. Controlling and editing text/paragraph formatting are key components of this course. \nMicrosoft Outlook: You will learn efficient methods of communicating\, using Microsoft Outlook.
