The Small Business Administration accepted Aerostar Environmental and Construction LLC (AEC) into the 8(a) program in December 2019. The 8(a) program will allow AEC to pursue set-aside awards while developing into a sustainable and competitive BBNC subsidiary.
AEC was established in January 2018 to concentrate primarily on project efforts classified as Environmental Remediation Services. AEC has two office locations: the administrative headquarters in Oak Ridge, TN, and the operations branch office in Jacksonville, Florida.
Brian Odom was appointed as General Manager of AEC in March 2019—he has 21 years of experience in managing large, complex environmental and construction projects for both commercial and government clients. He is supported by Senior Project Manager Frank Redway who is responsible for the management, execution, and performance on efforts performed from AEC’s Jacksonville location.
AEC’s current business targets are small business set-aside opportunities with federal and state/local government agencies as well as smaller contracts with commercial and industrial businesses to provide environmental remediation and restoration services and construction support.
At the same time, the company will continue to pursue subcontracting efforts with well-established contractors in both the environmental services and construction industries in the Southern U.S.
