CCI Industrial Services and Kakivik Asset Management Awarded Sasol Contract

Over the past few years, CCI Industrial Services (CCI) and Kakivik Asset Management have been working to diversify their portfolio in the Lower 48 and expand into non-oil and gas markets. This strategy was implemented to lessen impacts from the Alaskan economy and swings in the oil and gas marketplace.

In July 2022, CCI was awarded the contract for grounds and facilities maintenance at the Sasol Lake Charles Chemical Complex in Westlake, Louisiana. Sasol is a global chemical manufacturer based in South Africa and their Westlake location is a 1,600 acre facility. The three-year contract is estimated to deliver $5 million in annual revenue, providing a strong base of operations for CCI in Louisiana.

To provide this service, CCI has procured and delivered 13 ½-ton pickups, three 3/4-ton flatbed trucks, one mail van, John Deere 90 and 75 hp tractors with wings and buckets, four zero-turn industrial mowers, six utility terrain vehicles, and numerous small tools and consumables.

CCI is also in the process of hiring and onboarding 56 employees including carpenters, operators, grounds maintenance workers, and facility maintenance laborers to perform this scope of work. The new employees have been engaged and excited at what CCI and the BBNC family bring to the area.

Sasol states that CCI is a breath of fresh air and is setting a new bar with respect to contract transition. The team is looking forward to continually impressing Sasol in the weeks and months ahead. The CCI team is working hard to secure other aspects of Sasol’s business through current and future request for proposals.

Vista Global Solutions’ Hero

Eric Prewett

In May 2022, while working at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, Vista Global Solutions, LLC employee Eric Prewett heard a fire alarm outside of his office. When he entered the hallway, he noticed a patient attacking a group of nurses and a gentleman attempting to calm the patient down and stop him from going into the surrounding offices.

After the patient hit the gentleman with a medical device and grabbed a stand to use as a weapon, Eric took the stand away, disarming the patient to allow a nurse to quickly sedate the patient. Eric continued to clutch the patient until an officer from the BAMC Provost Marshall’s Office arrived to escort the patient back to his room.

The leadership team at Vista Global Solutions want to applaud Eric for helping protect people from being injured. He is a phenomenal staff member and it’s an honor to have him on our team.

Government Services Group Summer Event In El Paso

The Government Services Group hosted a summer event for employees and their families in the El Paso, Texas area at the Southwest University Stadium, home of the El Paso Chihuahuas (don’t be fooled by the name – they may sound small, but they are mighty and won the game that day!).

The Government Services Group was also excited to welcome corporate employees from San Antonio and show them a little taste of what El Paso and the southwest has to offer. Though scorching temperatures could have placed a damper on the event, guests stayed cool in the pavilion with refreshing beverages and the children made good use of the stadium’s splash pad.

Chico, the Chihuahuas mascot, was kind enough to stop by and stay for a few pictures. The event finale was a fireworks spectacular set to the musical hits of Queen. Until next time!
