Bristol Bay Village Leadership Workshop
Each year, BBNC conducts a two-day Bristol Bay Village Leadership Workshop in Anchorage, Alaska. The workshop draws about 200 village leaders from the 29 villages in the Bristol Bay region. These include village corporation officers and directors and village/city council officers and members. Workshop speakers address current issues that are important to Bristol Bay region residents.
2012 Village Leadership Workshop
BBNC’s 35th annual Village Leadership Workshop will be held Thursday-Friday, December 6 & 7, 2012 in Anchorage (location to be determined). Information will include programs and opportunities that affect the region and our state.
The purpose of the workshop is to allow leaders to learn about issues first hand, and take home information that may help lead to economic, educational and/or cultural benefits. Most of the topics covered pertained to land and resources, education and training, and cultural knowledge.
