Safety and DOT Compliant Specialist |

Develops and coordinates the safety programs for the organization and provides administrative support for the Fleet, Fuels and Lubes divisions by performing the following duties. Has dotted line authority to the CEO for critical and sensitive issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement a company wide safety policy program to ensure compliance with OSHA as well as DOT and FMCSA regulations as they relate to the transportation of petroleum products. • Plan and implement program to train managers and employees in work site safety practices. • Identify and evaluate conditions that could produce accidents and financial losses. • Manages and chairs the company safety committee. • Represent the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs. • Ensure all vehicles are legally operational with required licenses, permits, certifications, insurance, truck book etc. • Maintain, update and ensure accuracy of the central driver records system (currently JJ Keller) and DOT Driver Qualification Files. • Maintain and update central vehicle records system (currently Dossier). • Coordinate driver license, medical examination card renewals; and request annual review of driving abstracts. • Assist Transportation and Operations Managers to establish and develop driver training materials and manuals. • Assist Transportation and Operations Managers to prepare quarterly driver safety meetings which will also include Hazmat Specific and Security Awareness training. • Prepare and issue DOT compliant paperwork for new hires. • Provide reports to ensure DOT compliancy with hours-of-service using the various software programs available. • Occasional travel required to other PetroCard sites. • Other duties may be assigned. ________________________________________ Position Available: Full Time Location: TBD – Either Spokane or Kent
