The Vision of the Foundation is that Bristol Bay Native Corporation shareholders will reach their potential, assume key roles, direct our future and ensure continued success.
The Mission is to provide support for Bristol Bay Native Corporation shareholders to become self-sufficient, assume leadership roles through education opportunities and promote and preserve cultural heritage.
Supporting shareholder education since 1986, BBNC's total endowment to the Foundation is $1,345,000 through April 2006. Established as a nonprofit organization in 1992, contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible.
In 20 years, the Foundation has awarded over 1,332 higher and vocational education scholarships worth more than $1,167,500. Between 2001 and 2006, 95 scholarship recipients graduated with bachelors degrees or other advanced degrees. Between 2002 & 2006, 30 recipients received two-year degrees or other vocational education certificates.
